Granddad Faux was a farm and road worker the tale is that he went to work one day with dark hair

and when he returned that night it was white. To add a note here, I was doing some work at home with a circular saw when it slipped from my hand and cut my arm deeply almost severing it off. I was rushed to the nearest hospital and had the wound sewn up. The most strange thing was that the next day my hair had whitened?  So with this strange event I guess the stories of Grandad were true!

As he as working he saw his mother who spoke to him and it was at that moment she died.

Their son my uncle Sid joined the Scott's Guards. In the war he was captured by the Japanese

he send a letter to his parents saying" Save the stamp for me please you must steam it off.

When the stamp was removed underneath he had written "They have cut my tongue out".

When he returned home he did not live long.

The photos show him as a proud man, at home he spent the last years of life in bed.

I don't care what anybody says there was no need for the Japanese to be so cruel.

I have never owned a Jap car and never will.

Gran lived to 96 years old at one time she had a daughter aged 78!

Though not wealthy they gave everyone lots of love.

Gran and Granddad Faux

As I remember them they gave so much love

This must have been a big day out as I never knew of them going anywhere.

I wonder what year this was? I wonder where this was?

I wonder if this is granny Plum Gran Faux mother with Gran Faux?

Someone must recognize the sea side place? Here they are with there children so proud of Sid in uniform. The way the buttons are set on the jacket tells the unit they belonged to.

Sets of three were the Scott's Guards. Kathleen in front, my mother, is holding one of the Bairds Bedlingtons. She had a Bedlington dog most of her life I thing that it linked her to her love  John Logie Baird

Two pictures of Gran I wonder who the child is?

Picture of Grandad with ?

Gran was in her 90;s here with her son Clarence and his wife June from Canada. Also is Aunty Jessie who herself I think was in her 70's and she to was kind and loving. I am sure she was in on the fact that I was John Logie Bairds son.

Uncle Sid in the Scots Guards. He did duty at Buckingham palace

and the whole family were so proud.
